藏戏

藏戏是带着面具、以歌舞演故事的藏族戏剧，形成于14世纪，流传于青藏高原。常演剧目为八大传统藏戏，内容大都是佛经中劝善惩恶的神话传说。藏戏原来流传于民间，由艺人口传心授在广场或寺院中演出，后来建立了专业剧团，出现了舞台演出形式，这两种演出样式都为藏族群众认可和喜爱。藏戏承载着藏族文化的血脉，反映了藏族人民的生活面貌和思想感情，是他们文化生活的重要组成部分。

Tibetan drama

Tibetan opera is a Tibetan drama with masks and stories performed by singing and dancing. It was formed in the 14th century and spread on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The eight traditional Tibetan operas often performed are mostly the myths and legends of advocating good and punishing evil in Buddhist sutras. Tibetan opera originally spread among the people and was performed in plazas or monasteries imparted by the artists. Later, professional troupes were established and stage performances appeared. Both performances were recognized and loved by the Tibetan people. Tibetan opera carries the blood of Tibetan culture, reflects the life outlook, thoughts and feelings of the Tibetan people, and is an important part of their cultural life.
